Statement Red Heels MK
Street Style Outfit Red Heels Michael Kors
Hi you guys! It’s been some time but I’m back! I’ve been super busy with school, work and most of all, puppy duty. We’ve got Charlie, my new pup, for one week now and oh my, it’s been chaos in the house. Having 2 dogs literally gives me life but it also sucks the life out of you haha. But, it’s all for a good cause right! Today I went to consultancy at school and I felt like wearing my flashy red boots. So here’s how I combined these red ankle boots.
These boots are from last year’s Fall collection of Michael Kors, and honestly, I haven’t worn them until recently. But now I love them so much. I love a good statement piece. As I don’t wear that much color, I like to incorporate it into the outfit one way or the other. Thus, with this outfit, I like to give my shoes the center of attention. The heels are made of suede and the red color is extremely vibrant. The heels underneath these ankle booth are doable. I’m already quite long so I try to keep my heels around 5 centimeters. As for the styling, I am addicted to the combo of the ankle boots with this Levi Wedgie Fitted Jeans. As they are rather loose and high cut, it looks casual yet trendy. I matched this with a Nikkie top, one of my faves. However, I haven’t bought anything from Nikkie in a while as the brand’s style doesn’t quite match with my personal style anymore. Unfortunately, as in the beginning, I was a huge fan! Then, to top it off, I wore my Ted Baker coat with it. This coat was quite the investment but honestly, I wear it all the time. You can wear it with basically any outfit you’d like. Thus, the ROI (trying to bring some economics in it as well, you’re welcome) is huuuge! 😉
Do you love these boots as much as I do? Or aren’t you a big fan of statement pieces? Let me know in the comments!

Streetstyle in Switzerland
This week I went on a short trip to Switzerland with the fam (dog included as you can see). When I pack my suitcase, I always think of outfits that will look cute for possible shoots. I know, I have a problem but oh well. I packed something for basically every activity. But when we were going to hike I suddenly remembered that I didn’t bring sportswear. So, I took it upon myself and dressed to impress all the hikers ;). It was pretty cold, so I wore a turtleneck sweater and a jacket. Soon I realized that this was way too warm as I was dying while climbing the steep mountain paths. Disclaimer, I am not the most sporty person out there. But hey, everyone has their strengths and weaknesses. So, I looked pretty ridiculous between all those sporty people but what can I do about it right. And in the end, it paid off because the mountain was absolutely gorgeous! We made a ton of pictures already but when we made it to the lake, we were all in our element. We were making photos of the landscape (and ourselves) the whole time. It was so pretty that I cannot not share these with you!
On to the outfit! As I mentioned before, I was thinking that it was really cold, so I wore a warm sweater with a turtleneck. The green color of this sweater is to die for, and it was a coincidence that it matched perfectly with the colors of nature. I wore these ripped jeans with my Gucci Marmont belt. Believe me, this Gucci belt has been the best purchase ever. It elevates every outfit and it is functional as well. I absolutely love it and can’t live without it anymore! These shoes are the best ones ever. I designed them myself two years ago and they match perfectly with my style. The jacket brings this outfit together I think. I love long jackets with this kind of design and I like the transition into a leopard print at the bottom. It’s subtle yet it gives this jacket some extra spark. The inside of Ted Baker jackets is something out of this world, it’s amazing! It’s a shame however that you cannot really see it. I matched this outfit with my Karl Lagerfeld bag, but my dog Brody is literally the best accessory you can have, but he does take the spotlight away from me but that’s fine. He’s such a pretty model.
What do you love more? The outfit or the dog?
PS. A blog post about the Gucci Marmont belt will be coming soon!

I absolutely love matching designer items with basic (and more importantly, cheaper) items. I prefer to give my Gucci bag the center of attention, that’s what she deserves right ;). Personally, I think you’ll overdo it when you only wear branded clothes. Don’t get me wrong, I love brands but combining them with cheaper items is essential to me. My style is furthermore pretty casual chic. But to be honest, I like many different styles. Combining different items to match my own taste is one of the things I love to do!
For this particular outfit, I matched some high-waisted checked pants with a black turtleneck body. BTW, I have a severe addiction to turtlenecks, my Fall/Winter wardrobe is full of it. Just a fair warning. The shoes furthermore match my outfit and don’t draw too much attention to them. I’m not a sneaker type of girl, but I do like these Vans and the Adidas Superstars as you’ll see in my upcoming posts. The checked pants are quite out there so I therefore matched it with a simple, low-key top. It was furthermore super cold today so I wore my jacket from Ted Baker to keep me warm… This is one of my favorite jackets as this design, in my opinion, never goes out of style.
