Zara obsession is real

Oh my gosh, the weather here in the Netherlands is not something I’m loving. It has been snowing for a few days now and believe me, I HATE the snow and cold temperature. But today was a fun day! Not only because the snow is melting but I went to Rotterdam to have lunch with my parents @ Bertmans (the french toast is to die for BTW) and to get some stuff at De Bijenkorf.

I went for a casual outfit today. As it is still freezing, I knew for sure I wanted to wear a cosy sweater. As my closet is stuffed with sweaters and knitwear, it sure was a tough decision to make ;). I chose this vibrant red sweater from NA-KD with wide sleeves. I’m a sucker for wide sleeves as I think it gives a simple sweater something extra. What I love even more about these kind of sleeves, is that it looks really cute underneath a jacket. I know, it’s a really small detail but that’s what I love! The jacket I combined with this look is a grey, checkered coat. I love the pattern as you might already know and I am really into long jackets. I combined these items with a simple blue jeans and my biker boots from Zara with the pearls. To top it all off, I wore my Gucci Marmont as a crossbody. Just because this is much easier while taking care of a dog in a busy city haha. Yes, I brought my puppy with me to the city centre. It was quite the hassle but she’s so sweet and calm  that you literally wouldn’t even notice her. Once again though, it seems as if my dogs take away my shine each time they pose with me. Can’t blame them though, as they are my favorite things on this freaking earth… Oh I now just realize I have a serious Zara obsession. Imma go work on that, right away.

Would you wear this outfit? And do you share a Zara obsession with me?

Red Heels All The Way

Hi you guys! It’s been some time but I’m back! I’ve been super busy with school, work and most of all, puppy duty. We’ve got Charlie, my new pup, for one week now and oh my, it’s been chaos in the house. Having 2 dogs literally gives me life but it also sucks the life out of you haha. But, it’s all for a good cause right! Today I went to consultancy at school and I felt like wearing my flashy red boots. So here’s how I combined these red ankle boots.

These boots are from last year’s Fall collection of Michael Kors, and honestly, I haven’t worn them until recently. But now I love them so much. I love a good statement piece. As I don’t wear that much color, I like to incorporate it into the outfit one way or the other. Thus, with this outfit, I like to give my shoes the center of attention. The heels are made of suede and the red color is extremely vibrant. The heels underneath these ankle booth are doable. I’m already quite long so I try to keep my heels around 5 centimeters. As for the styling, I am addicted to the combo of the ankle boots with this Levi Wedgie Fitted Jeans. As they are rather loose and high cut, it looks casual yet trendy. I matched this with a Nikkie top, one of my faves. However, I haven’t bought anything from Nikkie in a while as the brand’s style doesn’t quite match with my personal style anymore. Unfortunately, as in the beginning, I was a huge fan! Then, to top it off, I wore my Ted Baker coat with it. This coat was quite the investment but honestly, I wear it all the time. You can wear it with basically any outfit you’d like. Thus, the ROI (trying to bring some economics in it as well, you’re welcome) is huuuge! 😉

Do you love these boots as much as I do? Or aren’t you a big fan of statement pieces? Let me know in the comments!

Bringing my A-Game in Curacao

Is there anyone else who scrolls through their photos when they cannot sleep at night? Cause I’m guilty! Oops. So, when I was recently scrolling through all my memories, I found these photos taken back in Curacao this year. This dress was an item that I wanted the minute I laid eyes on it. However, there were some complications because when I wanted to buy it, the dress was already damaged. I later found out that this was the result of the fabric. This dress is from Zara’s TRF collection, the somewhat eco-friendly line so to say. It rips super easily so you should be careful when putting it on but oh well, you gotta do what you gotta do right. When I eventually ordered it online, it was delivered just in time for my vacay!

This dress is just breathtaking. I love the red color in combination with the fabric. The design is furthermore very flattering and cute. I love the ribbon at the waist! I knew I wanted to make some photos on the ‘Pontjesbrug‘ in Curacao as I already went there a few times before and the place is amazing for photoshoots! So this dress was just the perfect fit! I wore these boots, also from Zara, underneath and to be quite honest, nobody liked this combination. But I liked it so I basically couldn’t care less. I think the combo is cute and simple. These sock-like boots are super easy heels to walk on (not that simple on the bridge though) and trendy at the same time. Thinking about it, this blog is pretty much a dedication to Zara. But honestly, who doesn’t love Zara?

What do you think of the combo, the dress with those boots?

The Karl Lagerfeld K/Holiday Shoulder Bag

Karl Lagerfeld K/Holiday Street StyleKarl Lagerfeld is one of the most celebrated designers of the 21st century.

Karl Lagerfeld is a fashion icon that I think everyone knows or surely has heard off. He’s known for his cutting-edge and somewhat different approach to fashion. What I admire most about him, is the fact that next to his own signature brand, he is also the creative director of Chanel and Fendi. Like how is that even humanly possible right? Many fashion gurus therefore see him as one of the most celebrated designers of the 21st century. Karl Lagerfeld, the signature brand, its aesthetic combines timeless classics with a modern, fun (somewhat cheeky) twist. What I love about this brand is that the ready-to-wear collections are rather affordable. For the relatively low price points, you’re getting perfect quality.

The K/Klassik shoulder bag is one of the most popular bags of the fashion house. This design is sold out quite a lot, but that’s simply because the bag is so functional yet super stylish! The silhouette of this bag perfectly combines style and function. I personally feel like every woman should own at least one Karl Lagerfeld bag!

Karl Lagerfeld K/Holiday Shoulder Bag

The K/Klassik shoulder bag comes in many designs. There are always the leather, more basic designs and then there are the limited editions that are featured once in a while. My bag is a limited edition, namely the Holiday Shoulder Bag. I wouldn’t necessarily buy the basic K/Klassik, but the boldly reimagined design of my bag is something I simply cannot resist! The KARL signature in stitched shearling was an absolute deal breaker. How can you not love that detail? I think it gives something extra to the design for sure!

This beauty features a foldover front flap, a top handle and a detachable leather strap. This offers versatility as you can wear this bag in multiple ways. Wear it as a crossbody, or simply wear it over your shoulder when you’re on the go. But you can also detach the strap and wear the bag by holding the top handle. This will create a more sophisticated and chicer look. This makes the bag perfect for day and night activities. The bag is furthermore super practical, as mentioned before. This is one of the largest crossbodies I own, you can truly put a lot in it! The interior furthermore features a slot pocket, a front panel pocket and on the back, there is a pocket as well. Super handy right!

Would you go for the K/Klassik or would you rather prefer a limited edition?

The Saint Laurent Sunset Bag

Saint Laurent Large Sunset Bag

Fashion comes and goes, but style is eternal’ – Yves Saint Laurent

Yves Saint Laurent is a brand that I’ve liked for so many years now! I love what the brand stands for and the founders of the fashion house, Yves Saint Laurent and his partner Pierre Bergé are super fascinating. I’ve read many books about the fashion house and its founders and once you’ve done this, you are intrigued, believe me! Hedi Slimane, the previous creative director, is just as fascinating but unfortunately, he left YSL in 2016. The clothing of course is stunning, but the bags especially are amazing! Saint Laurent bags to me, are all about being modern and chic at the same time. There are many gorgeous items designed by YSL but one of my all-time favorites definitely is the Sunset bag!

The Sunset bag can be worn with a casual outfit but you can easily wear it with a fancy outfit as well. This bag is extremely sophisticated and simple. The only details are the interlocking YSL initials on the flap of the bag and a key ring with Saint Laurent on it. I normally prefer golden details but for this bag, I like the silver details better. This came as quite a surprise to me, but the silver combined with the black leather and the shape of this beauty, is just breathtaking! The leather shoulder strap gives this bag the finishing touch. The chain gives this bag a somewhat rough appearance which goes so well with it! I simply cannot get enough of this bag.

Saint Laurent Large Sunset Bag

The size of this bag is perfect. It is small enough to wear as a crossbody, but it is certainly big enough to wear as an everyday bag. You can easily put all your essentials in it! The inside of the bag features suede lining, which gives an extra luxurious feel to the bag. The design has a gusseted slot pocket next to the interior slot pocket. There is another slot pocket on the bag as well, so there truly is lots of space!

The Sunset bag furthermore is a perfect example of a bag that can be worn with any outfit. Do you want to combine this beauty with jeans and a lovely sweater? This bag will elevate your outfit to the next level! Is your style more sophisticated and do you often wear a skirt with a blouse? This bag will match perfectly with the rest of the outfit. As Yves Saint Laurent once said: ‘Fashion comes and goes, but style is eternal’. This is what I love about this bag… There are so many ways you can style this gorgeous bag. There truly are endless options!

The Saint Laurent Sunset bag is styled with a beautiful Self-Portrait dress and Saint Laurent heels to perfectly match the aesthetics of YSL. What do you think of this outfit?
