Oh my gosh, the weather here in the Netherlands is not something I’m loving. It has been snowing for a few days now and believe me, I HATE the snow and cold temperature. But today was a fun day! Not only because the snow is melting but I went to Rotterdam to have lunch with my parents @ Bertmans (the french toast is to die for BTW) and to get some stuff at De Bijenkorf.
I went for a casual outfit today. As it is still freezing, I knew for sure I wanted to wear a cosy sweater. As my closet is stuffed with sweaters and knitwear, it sure was a tough decision to make ;). I chose this vibrant red sweater from NA-KD with wide sleeves. I’m a sucker for wide sleeves as I think it gives a simple sweater something extra. What I love even more about these kind of sleeves, is that it looks really cute underneath a jacket. I know, it’s a really small detail but that’s what I love! The jacket I combined with this look is a grey, checkered coat. I love the pattern as you might already know and I am really into long jackets. I combined these items with a simple blue jeans and my biker boots from Zara with the pearls. To top it all off, I wore my Gucci Marmont as a crossbody. Just because this is much easier while taking care of a dog in a busy city haha. Yes, I brought my puppy with me to the city centre. It was quite the hassle but she’s so sweet and calm that you literally wouldn’t even notice her. Once again though, it seems as if my dogs take away my shine each time they pose with me. Can’t blame them though, as they are my favorite things on this freaking earth… Oh I now just realize I have a serious Zara obsession. Imma go work on that, right away.
Would you wear this outfit? And do you share a Zara obsession with me?

With this new concept, I’d like to show you the must haves that are certainly on my wishlist! This week, we’re talking bags. Personally, bags are my absolute fave accessory! I’d like to wear a more simple outfit so that my bag truly gets all the attention.
My favorite of this collection, definitely is #3. This YSL bag is so classy yet it does have something edgy. It has been on my wishlist for quite some time now. As for #5, I must honestly say that Michael Kors is not really my brand anymore (it used to be my all-time favorite). But this bag is classy and it does not scream MK, which I obviously love. The Marc Jacobs mini bag, #1, is such a cutie. I think it’ll really take your outfit to the next level. I especially love the strap! Oh my, I love #2. The only downside of this bag is that it’s perfect for photos but not so much for daily usage. #6 is one of my absolute Gucci must haves. The Sylvie bag is classy and again, does not scream the brand’s name all over the bag. I like that a lot. And lastly, #4 is perfect for going to festivals or parties, as it’s super easy to wear and I love the combination of a bum bag (worn as a crossbody) with a colorful turtleneck.
Which one is on top of your wishlist?

Streetstyle in Switzerland
This week I went on a short trip to Switzerland with the fam (dog included as you can see). When I pack my suitcase, I always think of outfits that will look cute for possible shoots. I know, I have a problem but oh well. I packed something for basically every activity. But when we were going to hike I suddenly remembered that I didn’t bring sportswear. So, I took it upon myself and dressed to impress all the hikers ;). It was pretty cold, so I wore a turtleneck sweater and a jacket. Soon I realized that this was way too warm as I was dying while climbing the steep mountain paths. Disclaimer, I am not the most sporty person out there. But hey, everyone has their strengths and weaknesses. So, I looked pretty ridiculous between all those sporty people but what can I do about it right. And in the end, it paid off because the mountain was absolutely gorgeous! We made a ton of pictures already but when we made it to the lake, we were all in our element. We were making photos of the landscape (and ourselves) the whole time. It was so pretty that I cannot not share these with you!
On to the outfit! As I mentioned before, I was thinking that it was really cold, so I wore a warm sweater with a turtleneck. The green color of this sweater is to die for, and it was a coincidence that it matched perfectly with the colors of nature. I wore these ripped jeans with my Gucci Marmont belt. Believe me, this Gucci belt has been the best purchase ever. It elevates every outfit and it is functional as well. I absolutely love it and can’t live without it anymore! These shoes are the best ones ever. I designed them myself two years ago and they match perfectly with my style. The jacket brings this outfit together I think. I love long jackets with this kind of design and I like the transition into a leopard print at the bottom. It’s subtle yet it gives this jacket some extra spark. The inside of Ted Baker jackets is something out of this world, it’s amazing! It’s a shame however that you cannot really see it. I matched this outfit with my Karl Lagerfeld bag, but my dog Brody is literally the best accessory you can have, but he does take the spotlight away from me but that’s fine. He’s such a pretty model.
What do you love more? The outfit or the dog?
PS. A blog post about the Gucci Marmont belt will be coming soon!

I absolutely love matching designer items with basic (and more importantly, cheaper) items. I prefer to give my Gucci bag the center of attention, that’s what she deserves right ;). Personally, I think you’ll overdo it when you only wear branded clothes. Don’t get me wrong, I love brands but combining them with cheaper items is essential to me. My style is furthermore pretty casual chic. But to be honest, I like many different styles. Combining different items to match my own taste is one of the things I love to do!
For this particular outfit, I matched some high-waisted checked pants with a black turtleneck body. BTW, I have a severe addiction to turtlenecks, my Fall/Winter wardrobe is full of it. Just a fair warning. The shoes furthermore match my outfit and don’t draw too much attention to them. I’m not a sneaker type of girl, but I do like these Vans and the Adidas Superstars as you’ll see in my upcoming posts. The checked pants are quite out there so I therefore matched it with a simple, low-key top. It was furthermore super cold today so I wore my jacket from Ted Baker to keep me warm… This is one of my favorite jackets as this design, in my opinion, never goes out of style.
